WAAAAYYYYY oversold the venue
Alpine Valley is a great concert venue setup, but for Modest Mouse, it was extremely overcrowded! There was not a spot available when we entered the concert just before it began. It was actually frightening how tightly packed the Parrot Heads were. If lawn chairs are permitted, then they should reduce lawn seat sales by 25%. We eventually requested some people to make their blanket smaller so my husband and I could each have a 2' x 2' standing space for the whole concert. Despite Buffet's voice not being as strong as it once was, he can still get the crowd moving.
